Daily Painting Seascape in Oil, 4x12" "Tropical Waters" SOLD

I love to do seascapes, especially with a palette knife, as it allows me to use plenty of texture.  I  like working with the ocean, it seems like a different place minute by minute.

How cool to have all this texture and all these shades of blue, aqua and green.

Being an artist is a good thing....I am very grateful.

Have a wonderful day!

OIL, STILL LIFE, 8X10, 'THISTLE LOVE', Daily Painting

The poor, lonely thistle
So often overlooked
Worse yet, despised!
A weed...nonsense!

One person's weed is another's glorious bloom.  And for me this is a glorious bloom!

Picked from the fields of North Carolina.

Pretty as a rose!

Have a glorious day and look for roses everywhere.

INTERCOASTAL EVENING, 6X8, OIL, Daily Painting

This is another painted from my recent photo shoot on the intra-coastal.

It was getting late in the afternoon and although the sun was bright, it was low on the horizon and quickly disappeared.

It was a gorgeous day.  The kind of day that Floridians feel is pay-back for the hot sultry summer months.

Enjoy your day!

HEADING HOME, OIL Daily Painting, 4x12"

One of the many reasons I live in Florida is the abundance of beautiful water scenes that become a part of your everyday life.  How can you have a bad day when you glance out the window of your car and find nature in all it's glory there waiting for you to appreciate.

This time of the year, I don't want to be inside.  The weather is perfect, the days are glorious and I just want to sit back and be thankful for such blessings.

As a little holiday gift to my blog readers, who bring so much joy to my life year round, I am offering you and only you, a 10% discount on any painting through the end of the year.  Just contact me direct, or through Etsy and mention this discount and I will do a special discounted listing on the painting of your choice.

THE WETLANDS, 6x8, OIL, SOLD, Daily Painting

In Florida we have an abundance of wetlands, especially along the coasts.  They are home to birds of all kinds, not to mention, otters, snakes, gators and bobcats.

This image is the Viera wetlands, very famous in the birding community.  Birder's from around the world visit the wetlands hoping to spy a rare type of bird.  They also come for the annual bird count.

Our state is such a fascinating place to live.  We can offer much more than just beaches and Mickey Mouse.

BLUE RIDGE AUTUMN, 6X8, OIL Daily Painting

I was busy with my palette knife last week.  I really enjoy painting with it but it takes a long time for the paintings to dry.

Do you like texture in your paintings?  It seems I have to stick some in, somewhere, in every painting.

SUNRISE REFLECTING ON THE SURF, SOLD 6x8, OIL DAILY PAINTING

I have not done a daily painting seascape for quite some time, so I ventured down to the beach just in time to see the sun come up.  It is beautiful to see the sunrise no matter where you are...but it is down right stunning when you are sitting on the beach.

I hope your day is as inspirational as mine was!
