Mountain Church Landscape Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, Appalachian Small White Church, 8x10" SOLD

This is one of the many, small, white, churches, found in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  They all have their own charm, and I love driving around in search of them.

SOLD

The beauty of the red tree, was an added bonus, to my find, but, this is a charming scene, anytime of the year.  It pays to have your cell phone with you!

Have a great day!

Gray Squirrel Painting, Wildlife Painting, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, 6x8" Oil on Panel SOLD

Have you ever tried to photograph wildlife?  I have, and consider it an exercise in frustration.  Many blurred images later, my friend and photographer, Ted Fuhrer, offered me the use of his images.  Thanks so much, Ted.

SOLD
This little guy looks very inquisitive and ready to bolt at the least movement.

I enjoyed experimenting with painting his fur and directing the viewer's eye.  The animal is much the same color as the background in this scene.

I put it in one of my black frames.  They seem to work perfectly for just about any painting.

Happy day to you!

Coastal Home Wall Decor, Landscape Painting, Florida Beach Painting, Daily Painting, Fernadina Beach Landscape,

I don't claim to be a plein air painter, but occasionally, I venture out.  This time I was in a plein air workshop, and let me tell you, it was not easy standing on the beach in 90+ degrees, hour after hour!  Did I not tell you, I am a pretty slow painter?

I though I was fairly well prepared, but my sunburnt ears and hands would beg to differ!

Well, they say, "You must suffer for your art.".....I did!!

Thanks for viewing.

Palette Knife Painting, Daily Painting, Small Cabin in the Woods, Autumn Colors, 6x8" Oil on Panel, SOLD

This is a small painting I did last fall.

I often passed this cabin, on my daily walks.  I am always inspired by the beauty surrounding me during my walks.  The cabin looked so charming, nestled in the trees, with spots of sunlight hitting it.

This piece is a combination of brush and palette knife.

I have gone without painting for several months due to my move.  I am anxious to return to my new (small) studio, and begin this new version of my daily routine.  I hope I remember how to paint!

Thanks for viewing!

Still Life Red Pepper, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, Kitchen Art, 6x8" Oil on Panel, SOLD

I find I have missed painting still life, so it has been fun catching up on it over the last week.

If I could just stop sleeping, I would have an additional 5 or 6 hours a day to paint.

Maybe then I would have enough time to paint both my still life and my landscapes.....but what about the abstract/mixed media  I also want to try?  Maybe I better work on growing another set of arms instead!

Life is hard when you're retired!!

Abstract Painting, Seascape Palette Knife Art, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, 11x14" Oil on Canvas, SOLD

For me, the best time to visit the beach is sunrise or sunset.  It is such a spiritual experience.

SOLD

In the morning, I am usually alone.  Just me, my camera, the birds, and possible a lone fisherman, trying his luck.

At sunset, you may not be alone, but in a group of spectators, standing in awe, as the sun sinks into the sea.

Both experiences will enrich your day.
