I took photos today of two or three new paintings that I have been trying to finish up, and when I loaded them on the computer, they all had major glare problems. So,rather than not put up a new post, I am, once again posting one of my older pastels. This one is kind of interesting because I glued a type of hand-made paper all over and then worked the pastel over it. This is the only photo I have, and it is actually a detail which doesn't show the most interesting part of the collage effect. I did this technique two or three times, and they were a great success. I really need to buckle down and do a few more. I hope you enjoy it. If you are interested in purchasing, please e-mail me for details of price and size.

I love looking at your pastels as I am fighting a war with this media at the present. Gives me some incentive to keep at it!
ReplyDeleteo I love this... the way the artichoke and onion melt into the warm background as if readying to become a soup.... I must be hungry but I do love the colors in this!!!
ReplyDeleteI love pastels but am useless with them - they are for the future. These are great. I found a blog where R. Garriott gives hints and tips on how to correct your paintings. He's on my blog at the top, but his address is http://rgarriott.blogspot.com/. I think I found him on Sheila's blog.
ReplyDeleteI love your work! This one is so warm and inviting. I love the way the light hits the sides of the vegetables.
ReplyDeleteYour work is just so beautiful...I think I'll stick around and fallow you blog...cheers!!!
ReplyDeleteI love contrast, “you give it” with color and light very good
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the effects you are getting with this process - I hope you will post the entire image when you get a picture. That glare... always a problem!!!
