PEONY, 11X14, OIL SOLD
Still trying to paint flowers. This one was more difficult for me. I just could not achieve the vibrant hues I wanted!
It's tough to keep flowers vibrant and translucent and still give them shape. You've done a good job. I like the interesting vantage point of the flower up high, and seeing the landscape beyond.
Even through the thumbnail, I could tell this was my favorite bloom the peony. I love it. Subtle is good over vibrant sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI like the composition, that is the most difficult things to do with flowers. But this one succeeds. It is lovely. I like the background colours too.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, keep going, this is goooood!!
ReplyDeleteI had trouble with firefox at one stage, but it seems ok now. Anyway I'm connected (so is that a good thing?)
Glad to catch up on your work here Carole- ive been missing the posting community for a while. Anyway - great work, as usual! Your an inspiration.
