RIVER HOUSE IN WHITTIER, 8X8, OIL
I couldn't resist painting this cute little house on the banks of the Tuckaseegee River in North Carolina.
Just found your blog via Karin Jurick's site. Since I'm in Maggie Valley, N.C. (not too far from Whittier), had to spend some time enjoying your NC scenes. Love your brushwork and compositions!
I really enjoyed these paintings with the energetic brushstrokes and the looseness in the paintings. I think the abstract influence is coming through! It is obvious that they are scenes you are familiar with. The boat is great!

ReplyDeleteI have a difficult time with those...I always want to overwork them!
