ANOTHER POPPYFIELD, 5X7, OIL,SOLD


Every once in a while I just have to do a red/green combo. I think poppies are probably my favorite flower, especially in the wild. They just knock your eyes out! This one is about 1/2 abstract and 1/2 impressionistic. I no longer know what I am doing, or maybe never did...but I am enjoying it more!

    I'm sure some day you will find a happy balance between the two styles...just keep on painting! I love the color, and brush strokes in this painting. Nice composition too!

    Beautiful Carol! I agree about the color combo. that's why Koi fish in a pond attract me, they have the same green and orange combo.

    Your painting in your last post is stunning too! Great atmosphere!
