GREEN GRAPES, 6X8, OIL-SOLD

Don't you just love to paint green grapes.  They have the most beautiful colors in them..all that transparency is irrresistible.

  1. I do indeed love this painting. Grapes are one fruit I always have in the home as yet I have never attempted to paint them maybe bacuse I am too busy eating them. I so love the use of colour you have it feels so real. I have to say I also enjoy a glass of white wine so you have me on every level.

  5. Oooh....aaaah.... They almost have the look of fine jade here Carol! I like the unique composition with the platter set at an angle also.

  6. They absolutely glow! Love the variety of turquoises and light greens and that red ground popping through is delicious. Beautifully painted!

  10. You have certainly captured the wonderfully reflective quality of these grapes. Probably one of the nicest renderings I have seen of this subject! It makes one realize how much color there is on a subject if we actually take the time to look! Hmmm...I think I need to be adding a few more dabs of reflective color on my urban scenes. Love the strawberry too! Food for thought, and for the tummy.
