Back to my comfort zone, things to eat. Hopefully I will be able to paint these items instead of eating them as I have been noticing a strange shrinking problem with my clothing. Or maybe I should be eating more of this and less chocolate, cakes, pasta etc. Life is full of choices!
You don't eat too much by any means(unless it's at The Mighty Mushroom)Nice painting! - Your loving son.

ReplyDeleteThese carrots are luscious!! Where do you find them with the leaves? Did you grow them yourself?
ReplyDeletelovely work Carol, i pariticularly like the backlighting and how you have handled it.
ReplyDeleteI love the composition and the touches of pink on the orange carrots. Well done!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you manage to make such lovely paintings out of such ordinary objects. I waste most of my time looking for subjects.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful Carol! I love em :)
ReplyDeletejust charming- I really like the value contrast here, but yet doesn't overwhelm the subject
ReplyDeleteGorgeous painting love the background and the shadows also the format for these long beauties.
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you brought the orange of the carrots into the red zone. Love that blue shadow created by the leaves and the way it anchors everything. Perfect format!
ReplyDeletesigh..you make want your paintings! The color..oh the color..makes me happy
ReplyDeleteNice color....do I see a black gessoed board peeping through from underneath? I often like to paint on black too. It has a way of making your colors more vibrant.
