MOUNTAINS VS BEACH

I have just returned from a week in the beautiful and peaceful Smoky Mountains.  This is not a new piece, but one that  is near by heart.  This is a view about 1/4 mile from our home Western NC, called Childer's Barn.  We pass this each time we leave the house and I am always transfixed by it as we drive by.  The changing season just adds to the beauty of the scene.  Purchase here.

In my other world, I see the wonder of the ocean in all it's glory.  How lucky am I?

Purchase here.

Very, very nice, Carol. A day spent at either place would be a treat for anyone.

Love your mountain piece. Western NC is one of the most beautiful areas anywhere. You have captured it. I like the way you handled the trees in the background.
I was very close to you last week. My parents have a home at Lake Junaluska. Close to waynesville. Wish we could have connected.
Love your beach piece too!

This paintings are wonderful. Having lived on the Fl. beaches and living in NC, you captured the beauty of both. Well done.

I love the angle of the horizon line in the beach painting, plus viewing the beach thru the blades of grass. It makes for a nice composition.

Well, how lucky are you to live near both mountains and beaches? Both of these scenes are really beautiful and have their own unique atmosphere.

Lucky you - you don't have to choose! Beautiful simplicity in the barn painting - and I love the colors in the beach painting - best of both worlds!
