PELICAN PARADE, 6X8, OIL-SOLD
Not too far from where I live, there is a colony of white pelicans. I believe they are very rare and only found in a few locations in the world. Purchase here

Mornin' Carol, I do love the simplicity of this painting and the fact that so few lines can create something so beautiful and recognizable. One of my favorites.
Love the dark under them and that pop of orange against the blue. Pelicans are such strange birds, I never knew how big they were until I saw one in person a few years ago, they are surprisingly large! Not like a little duck at all.
I like the blue with the orange accent, wonderful painting, how lucky you are to have these birds to watch.
