HOME GROWN TOMATOES, 8X10, OIL

There ain't nothin' in the world that I like better
Than bacon 'n lettuce 'n homegrown tomatoes
Up in the mornin', out in the garden
Get you a ripe one, don't pick a hard 'un
All winter without 'em is a culinary bummer
I forgot all about the sweatin' and the diggin'
Every time I go out and pick me a big 'un

John Denver

John was right!

  1. I was just thinking about summer tomatoes last night, wishing for a slice with my turkey burger, I can almost taste them now!

  4. Love this tomato painting and your John Denver quote. I always love to see how you set the paintings up to photo. Great idea. Good for folks to get a good idea of the scale. Are you also selling the spoon, cup and cook book?

  11. Beautiful Carol. Your painting reminds me of many wonderful meals.
    There's nothing like a BLT.

Those tomatoes look like Cherokee Purples. We grow them here in Cherokee County.
