CANDLESTICK WITH PALM SHADOWS, 4X12", OIL


When summer comes and the earth tilts just right,  the most beautiful shadows of palms come through my window.

You may have noticed that I have been placing fruit, vegetables and other paintings there for several weeks now.

    Wonderful light...and knowing that its the palms creating the shadows makes it even more special. Love the black candle stick against the rich blues.

    This has such a nice feel . . . it evokes a feeling of a storm approaching in the tropics. I like the tall format with the light descending from the top.
