TRIO DE POIRES SUR LA PLAQUE, 6X8, Oil, Canvas Board, SOLD
I could have called this "Three Pears on a Plate"
That would have been an accurate description of this painting.
But somehow it sounds so much more elegant in French! Why is that?
Enjoy!
I adore your use of French titles. I am 11th generation French Hugenote but do not know a word of French! French was unfortunately greatly discouraged here 300 yrs ago! Oh, yes the blue creeps nicely into your pears, softening their lines!
Oh la la, Carol......tres chic!
ReplyDeleteSome of the best pears I've seen.
:)
This painting has so much impact---love the cropping and overhead view. And the title is so much more elegant a la francais!!
ReplyDeleteJ'aime le compositon!
