Green Grapes and Lemon - 5x7 - Original Oil - SOLD

such a plump and happy lemon! I love your grapes and the colors in the background. Such a gift...I have such a challenge with colors.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the lemon was getting in touch with its inner orange. So if looks more like an orange, call it Green Grapes and Orange. Creative license. I won't tell if you don't. Lemon or orange wantabe. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol - love this little painting !
ReplyDeleteAlso your beach scenes ~ winter at the beach is a wonderful time and the light of early morning is so beautiful.
Happy painting!
How do you do those celadon green grapes so clear, and subtle, and...?
ReplyDeleteTeri, I would tell you if I had a special technique. I guess it's just the color mix which I believe included radiant green (Gamblin) and maybe indian yellow and naples lite?
ReplyDeleteThis fruit is so shimmery and fresh... I love the strong orange with all the other colors!
ReplyDeleteI really like your style! Just Beautiful! I am self taught and my mediums are transparent watercolor and soft pastels....but you make me want to try oil. keep the beauty coming, you are an inspiration. Alisa:)
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, beautiful still life. Great colour balance!
