BERRIES AND BANANA, 11X14, OIL, SOLD

This painting is a companion piece to  one that I did a month ago which featured blueberries, strawberries and kiwi slices.

This is the original painting.  I had so much trouble getting two images in this post in the place I wanted it to be.  It was almost more time consuming than completing the paintings.  I love Blogger, but every time I think I know what I am doing, they seem to change something!
I guess what they say about "old dogs" is true!

  1. What a nice combo of fruit paintings. This new one is like a Fourth of July treat! Reminds me of the lovely desserts Mom always made on that day. Simply delicious!

  2. Yum..just add cream and a touch of sugar! The strawberry just pops and the shine is amazing. It really looks like I can pick it up off the page. Great color combination as well.

  7. At first I thought these were watercolors! So fresh and having a transparent look about them...very nice...hmmm I think I will dig the blueberries out of the freezer for a taste!

  10. Such a beautiful combination of colors and so well done. I just love the feeling of your work. I've been gazing at the reflected light on the original strawberry for a while now and love it!

  11. Good enough to eat, that's for sure! The translucence and shine of the berries is wonderful, and I especially love the bright accent of the banana slices (and those strong brushstrokes) in the top one.
