Some days it is really hard to find something to paint. It is always fast or famine with me and today was a famine day. I decided to do a little seascape as I have not painted one for months. In fact, I painted two of them today, so tomorrow I will post the second piece.

Beautiful! I can hear the surf and smell the sea breeze :-) I like the way you handled light in this painting.
ReplyDeleteVery effective, Carol. From where I sit, I see a similar sea view today but much darker because of a threatening storm, but days like yours are also familiar. And believe me, they are difficult to do. There is not much of a focal point usually, but you have made the sun's brilliant effect the point of interest! Well done, and I will look out for the second painting.
ReplyDeleteThis ocean sunrise is beautiful, Carol. I grew up in a city on the ocean and can remember many mornings like this. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying your paintings very much! I'm glad that you can always find something to inspire. There is a 'movie' about that art book you were asking me about. Come on over for a visit! Luv ya Myra
ReplyDeleteYour painting has such a nice rhythm and sunny glow to it Carol.....very nice! Fun to play with waves, huh?
ReplyDeleteThis is exquisite. What a feast of blues.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors, I love the lavender and blue!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. The brushstrokes are just there.
