Daily Abstract Painting, "Fire and Ice" 8x9"
This little piece is a mixed media abstract painted on a wood panel.
It started out with molding paste, and acrylics. Soon I switched to oils and a palette knife.
As you can see here, I included a bit of screening. There is also some silver foil, which is not very visible in these images, but gives off a nice reflection in the evening.
Une explosion de couleurs... Une oeuvre puissante et pleine d'énergie.
ReplyDeleteGros bisous à vous.
Wow...this one is fierce! Love it. It is certainly worthy of Frost's poem.
ReplyDeleteIt's so strong and bold, almost looks like a sky lit up with fireworks :)
ReplyDeletethis is so alive
ReplyDeleteTerrific textures and patterns, Carol. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe movement in this is fantastic, very dynamic. My eyes don't stop moving when I'm looking at this.
ReplyDeleteReally loving your abstracts! They are full of energy. Thanks for including some closeups and procedure.
ReplyDeleteSuch immense energy in the marks made and the contrast between the vibrant orange and the duller dray/greens. very powerful.
