BERRIES AND PEARS, 5X7,OIL, SOLD

A little still life that I painted a few weeks ago. It seems to me that all this abstract painting is having an effect on my impressionistic painting. This seems like a blend to me. It is interesting to see where this will go. I really enjoyed this one.

Ooh, I really like this one. I think I really like the cooler colors and I'm loving how linear it is. It slightly reminds me of Cezanne with the bolder lines and blocks of color.

WOWee!! Carol, this is gorgeous. It has a Fauvist feel to it. The composition is wonderful contrast of rounds and geometric lines, but there's more that makes it awesome. It looks totally effortless. I really LOVE this one!!!

It's been such a pleasure going through your last posts - that's the good thing about not computerising every day! Love this still life and the landscapes are really lovely. As far as the Obama issue is concerned, I believe (but could be wrong) that once the photo is printed in a newspaper (public domain) it can then be copied. But I think one still has to give credit for the source. As I say, could be wrong.

Really nice! I like all of the geometric shapes in the brush strokes. It shows a wonderfully confident hand. You're on a roll and headed in a great direction. Doesn't it feel great when something grabs you and takes you on the journey?

I love this one too, sort of abstract, like the blocky strokes and the colors you use are always so yummy (technical term!)What brand of paint do you use?

I was so sure I left a comment on this post. Oh well, just have to try again and say that this is fantastic (as usual)

Carol, Great painting. It is so pleasing with the soft palette and all the broken color with brushstrokes. Nice job getting around the form of the pears and strawberries.

Thanks everyone, all these nice comments really made my day! Diane, I use a variety of paint, w-N, Remb, whatever strikes me and I am not sure what I was using on this one. Sorry, I cannot be specific.

This is a unique style you've developed and I am beginning to recognize this beautiful technique as a 'Carol Schiff' painting in the thumbnails of my Dashboard which I think is a very good thing! I can see a whole show of these style paintings. [and is that "Bright Blue" see here? HUGS

Great painting style here. Almost Cezanne like. Impressionistic and abstract. Great colors as well. I like the green dabs of shadow on the yellow pear.

Carol, I am really drawn to this composition. I think it is the subtle color palette, it is just soothing and refreshing all at the same time.
