THE SANDPIPER, 5X7, ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING

I decided to post another of my surf paintings. This one has a little sandpiper doing what sandpipers do. It is fasinating watching them as they run back and forth between the waves and never get their feet wet!

I have several larger painting that I am working on, but, they are not ready for posting yet.

Lucky me! I just discovered that my artwork is being featured in two treasuries on Etsy! Etsy is such a fun site. If you have not been there, I definitely recommend it. I am just amazed at all the wonderful home-made items that are available for purchase there and I also love to check out the vintage stuff. They also sell art/craft supplies. I have joined one of their "teams" called Original Artists on Etsy, and we are organizing an Easter Egg Hunt. One of the members will donate an item, we will all leave "clues" on our sites, and the first person to identify the item will win it. Fun, don't you think? Keep checking back on my Etsy site if you are interested in joining the hunt. No purchase necessary.

SAIL THE INTER-COASTAL, 20X24, ORIGINAL OIL

I have been gone for a few days, a quick trip to Washington DC, and now that I am home again I realized that a new post was way overdue! It's amazing how important this blog and all the blogs I follow, have become. I miss checking in on everyone when I am gone, and I do feel an obligation to keep mine updated. It has been such a wonderful trip for me to get comments from all of you about my art. I think I have gained confidence and my paintings have become stronger because of it. So, thank you, I appreciate each and every comment and the knowledge that you come to my site on a regular basis. You have all become very important to me.

PEARS, 5X7, OIL ON CANVAS PANEL, SOLD

I thought you all may be tired of postings of the ocean, so I decided to fall back on my "old faithful" and post a recent still life. Actually, I did paint plein air earlier in the week and was somewhat happy with the result. But, not that happy, and I have since painted over that attempt. There is a little glare on this photo. Does anyone have a sure fire way to photo dark backgrounds without the same result? If you wish to purchase, you can find this on my Etsy page.

ROLLERS - 6x8 - OIL ON CANVAS PANEL - SOLD

Another of my surf paintings. It is amazing to me that I took all these photos on the same day at the same place, and the same time, and yet the paintings are coming out with totally unique hues. It could be my state of mind, or maybe the lighting ? As my husband likes to say "It is what it is."

Green Grapes and Lemon - 5x7 - Original Oil - SOLD

Yesterday I had a sale of a small 5x7 on Etsy. When I tried to find the painting, I realized it was no longer available, so I quick painted another version of it. I e-mailed the image to the buyer and offered it to her, but, she was unimpressed with my effort and settled for another one . She thought this lemon looked too much like an orange, and I suppose it probably does, but I like it anyway and decided to post it. Now, I am going to post it on Etsy!
