Mountains and Poppies, acrylic, 5x7,SOLD

This is a fun little piece, one that went on my "CarolOnEdge" site at Etsy. Not quite abstract and not quite impressionistic, or I should say, MY style of impressionistic. I dug out the acrylics and did three of this type. It is the first time I have played with acrylics in many years and I hated working with them and cleaning up. But, it was great when they were all dry and ready to be varnished right away.

Purchase here.

Lovely. You may have to paint in acrylics more often Carol!

Nice, strong painting. Love the shapes of the poppies and the reds against the greens.

I love to visit your blog periodically to see the range of your work, Carol. This is powerful--and your dislike of painting in acrylics (which I love to use:>) doesn't show at all. The piece is exuberant, rhythmic, and joyful.

Love the vibrancy and colour Carol. You may not like acrylics, but they sure like you!
