PLUMS, 5x7, OIL, SOLD

One of the members of our painting group had really good news last week so we decided to celebrate.
At 9:30 in the morning we poured pink champagne and ate chocolates.  An unusual but divine breakfast for me.  Then we went to our easels and painted.  Is it any wonder that my brushstrokes are much more relaxed?  Do I need to throw out my fiber cereal and buy Godiva stock?  I have to admit is was fun!

Very nice, Carol. I especially like the dish and its shadow. Your colors are lovely. I think champagne and chocolate makes a wonderful breakfast and helps in the studio!!! :)

Love the cool tones of this painting and the dusty skin of the plums.

Nice plums Carol. Love the warm tones in the front plum against the cooler back plum. And the light on all of the plums is beautiful.

Fabulous variety of blues and purples. Love the way the red peeks out here and there and the yellow background is perfect with the palette.

This piece is AWESOME. Love the color combo. I always pour pink champagne over my fiber cereal.

Very nice, but you should skip the fiber cereal and just eat the plums (after painting them, of course).

I love the brush work and the different shades of purples/blues against the yellows and the little bits of red coming through - chocolate for breakfast - why not?
