I'M A LITTLE TEAPOT, 8X10, OIL

When the earth tilts and the days get shorter, I get lovely shadow shapes in my breakfast nook.

Here the shadow of group of palms falls against a teapot sitting on the windowsill.

It's what I like to call a "happy accident", instant set-up!

The shadows give the humble tea pot an air of mystery. Great work.

Love coming upon a beautifully lit instant set-up! Love the drama in the lights and shadows, makes it seem abstract.

Sometimes the best still lifes are found, like the light on this sweet tea-pot. That happened to me with a pair of roses early one morning.
