Well, maybe it's not exactly abstract, but it's not exactly impressionistic either. I easily get confused over all the different types of "abstract" works.
Therefore, I will just proclaim that it is painted freely and freshly, just like the sea.
What would you call this style?

Lovely style. I think I would call it impressionistic because you pretty much know it is a sea scene.
