I stumbled across this field of poppies in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Beautiful texture! I love the gradual cooling of tones, heading back to those cool blue mountains in the distance. I wish I was there!

Whenever I want a fix of bold color and fearless application of paint, I know I can count on you! This is lovely. I especially like the use of the palette knife on the poppies and the little violet flowers in the foreground.
