AN APPLE A DAY, 8X8", COLLAGE, SOLD

My friend Donna, always has something new up her sleeve, so my painting group was not really surprised when she announced that we would do "collage" at one of our gatherings.  She came with tons of papers in all colors and form along with matte medium and an apple.  Half way into this, I got in the groove, came home and sacrificed two of my vintage cookbooks for recipes.

In the end, I had a great time and several ideas for my next try.  Fun, fun, fun!

Gros bisous

Carol, how wonderful to have a creative group of artists to stretch your techniques and skills... we all need to get out of our comfort zone from time to time. This is fabulous!

Oh my this is fantastic! I sorta miss doing this stuff. In college, it seemed like we're always doing things like this. I need to take a day and get back to some of that creativity!

I have seen this collage technique before and I think it is really cool. I want to try to do this myself someday.

Loove this one! I've been wanting to try my hand at collage for ages even bought some books to tear up from my local thrift store but never got around to it, now I will after seeing your painting, very inspiring!
