TRIO DE POIRES SUR LA PLAQUE, 6X8, Oil, Canvas Board, SOLD

I could have called this "Three Pears on a Plate"

That would have been an accurate description of this painting.

But somehow it sounds so much more elegant in French!  Why is that?
Enjoy!

This painting has so much impact---love the cropping and overhead view. And the title is so much more elegant a la francais!!

I adore your use of French titles. I am 11th generation French Hugenote but do not know a word of French! French was unfortunately greatly discouraged here 300 yrs ago! Oh, yes the blue creeps nicely into your pears, softening their lines!

This painting has an elegant feel so the french fancy name is well deserved. Really pretty!

...because French is such a pretty language, unlike our Germanic, gutteral English ;P

This painting is so gorgeous. I love the shades of green you used for the pears. Gorgeous!
