Woodland Scene Oil Painting, Cabin Wall Decor, Palette Knife Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting

This is a small painting I did last fall.

I often passed this cabin, on my daily walks.  I am always inspired by the beauty surrounding me during my walks.  The cabin looked so charming, nestled in the trees, with spots of sunlight hitting it.

This piece is a combination of brush and palette knife.

I have gone without painting for several months due to my move.  I am anxious to return to my new (small) studio, and begin this new version of my daily routine.  I hope I remember how to paint!

Thanks for viewing!

Mountain Stream Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, 8x10x1.5" Oil on Canvas

If you have been in the Smoky Mts. or the Blue Ridge Mts., you will probably recognize this scene.  A mountain stream, meandering through trees covered in fall foliage.

I often display my paintings on shelving, surrounded by favorite books and objects.

Fall Landscape Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, 6x8" Oil on Panel

Today I am posting another new autumn painting.  I am so inspired by the beautiful landscapes beyond my windows.

There is nothing better than a bright, sunny, fall day, with those gorgeous leaves, highlighted against a bright blue sky.

This is a cute little house, down the road, in Waynesville NC.  A little story book house!

Time for pumpkins, burning leaves, and roasting marshmallows.  The local orchards are full of apples and cider.  YUM!  If I could just find a hay ride, life would be complete.

Tree on Fire, Autumn Painting, Fall Foliage, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, 8x10x1.5" original art, SOLD

MOVING SALE!!

25% OFF most original Paintings

Autumn in the mountains is where I want to be.  Last year, I was very lucky to spend two months there.
SOLD
I was inspired to paint this one from the ever evolving show I saw each day.  It brings back childhood memories of northern Ohio and Michigan.....minus the mountains, of course.

What more could I ask for?  It gets better and better each day.  Of course, in the mountains it seems the color is climbing to the sky.

One evening we spied a herd of Elk in the meadow.  You can hear them bellowing in the woods this time of year. They come down to the meadows to feed at dusk and dawn..  This herd was one make and about 30 females.

As much as I love it there, I was ready to head south to Florida when the weather got cold.  When the trees are stripped bare, and the cold winds are blowing, I enjoy the beautiful beaches. Life is good!
