VIEW FROM CLINGMAN'S DOME

This is a quickie, 5x7 oil on canvas panel. It was kind of a warm up a few days ago. Little did I know I would spend twice the time trying to photograph it as I did painting it! I don't know how many photos I took, under different conditions and lighting, I STILL GET GLARE!!!!! and it is still there, and I give up.

It is a view from Clingman's Dome which is the tallest mountain in the Smokies.

I still love it and don't even notice the glare. Have you been to R. Garriott's blog where there are tips posted to deal with such irritations?

Carol, glare aside.. the painting gives a great sense of depth. I like it. No one told me that I would have to learn photography to paint, oh well, another journey to start because, like you, I take multiple pictures and multiple more. See you at the workshop. Honor

It's the darker paintings that are SO hard to photograph when wet!! I hear ya! Lovely atmospheric painting.
