ISLANDS IN THE STREAM, 6X8, OIL, SOLD

Yesterday we returned home from our first trip of the year to the mountains of North Carolina.  Didn't see any islands there, but in an effort to warm up, I have posted this abstract.

I have lots of unpacking and grocery shopping to do today.  I am trying to post and drink coffee at the same time.  Enjoy!

Love your new painting Carol. It was unusually cold in the mountains this weekend after the storms went through. So much so that we used the fireplace.

Glad you had a safe trip home. Hope we can get together sometime soon.

This painting really stands out on my blog list. The blues are wonderful, and the touch of pale green and light blue show a touch of sun on a misty day. Love it!

Ever think about the abstract similarities between the mountains (blue ridge of course) and the ocean? Riff on that one. Nice Island.

Beautiful painting, Carol! The mountains in NC sound like a beautiful setting as well!
