SOUTH CAROLINA MARSH, SOLD

One final marsh painting from my recent vacation. This is a 9x12 oil on panel.

Hi Carol..
Looks like a great vacation. Plein air is fun and a great way to get outside and breath fresh air (along with gnats and dust). You've done a terrific job with my most difficult challenge... Keeping them simple and straight forward.
You really get a sense of place.
Will you use these to create studio paintings?

Marian, I really did enjoy the experience and our group has agreed to spend more time outside during the fall/winter months when the weather is more hospitable. I purposely choose very simple scenes as in the past I have become overwhelmed trying to paint an outdoor scene. Next time, I will up the ante.

Sounds like a fun vacation - nothing like combining travel and painting. The marshes are so inspiring and you got some great atmospheric perspective going here. Simple is good!

Carol: This is very nice. I especially like the mid-toned palette choice for this piece. It makes for a sense of tranquility.

Hi Carol,
I love these marsh pieces! They are very atmospheric and soft and have those pure color spots in just the right places.
