Green Grapes and Lemon - 5x7 - Original Oil - SOLD

Yesterday I had a sale of a small 5x7 on Etsy. When I tried to find the painting, I realized it was no longer available, so I quick painted another version of it. I e-mailed the image to the buyer and offered it to her, but, she was unimpressed with my effort and settled for another one . She thought this lemon looked too much like an orange, and I suppose it probably does, but I like it anyway and decided to post it. Now, I am going to post it on Etsy!

such a plump and happy lemon! I love your grapes and the colors in the background. Such a gift...I have such a challenge with colors.

Maybe the lemon was getting in touch with its inner orange. So if looks more like an orange, call it Green Grapes and Orange. Creative license. I won't tell if you don't. Lemon or orange wantabe. It's lovely.

Also your beach scenes ~ winter at the beach is a wonderful time and the light of early morning is so beautiful.
Happy painting!

How do you do those celadon green grapes so clear, and subtle, and...?

Teri, I would tell you if I had a special technique. I guess it's just the color mix which I believe included radiant green (Gamblin) and maybe indian yellow and naples lite?
