HALF GRANNY SMITH, 5X7, OIL

Since I have painted every possible fruit or vegetable, I have decided to cut them in half and start all over again.  You may remember I posted a half strawberry not too long ago, so here is a follow-up with half a Granny Smith apple.

Purchase here.

Wonderful!! I love that bit of blue green on the top of the apple.

Carol - there is a hidden Grinch head in the center of your apple! LOL Seriously - can you see it? Sorry - I hope this doesn't bother you (and I am a bit tired this morning and just got back from taking my son to the dentist - so I could be a bit punchy...) but I see it and think it's the coolest thing! I really LOVE it!

Absolutely LOVE this! That spot of turq., the bright green outline and the area around the seeds is heavenly. I always open your posts to the large version for the thrill of seeing those gorgeous thick brush strokes and this one did not disappoint. Excellent!

Love it! As a pastelist, I know what you mean. After you go through the slew of half slices, perhaps you can start over with images of pared fruit or quarter slices? Amazes me the ingenuity of artists. I like your concepts Carol.

I will echo everyone and say "I love this" also! I really love the way you have thick juicy brush strokes in the background to contrast with the smooth insides of the apple.

Really well done "whites" on the inside.
