FLORIDA SURF, 8X10, OIL, SOLD

Florida is graced with the most amazing coastline and I am very happy to say that so far, the east coast has had no damage from the Gulf disaster.  We are enjoying the summer, while at the same time, it feels a little like having a time bomb ticking away.  To make matters worse, nobody knows what to expect if (when) a good ole tropical storm or hurricane comes blowing through.  So for the time being, we cross our fingers, pray a lot and wait to see what will be our future.

Carol, i really like this. The use of lavender in the sky and breakwater is great!

Wow, I can hear the roar of the ocean and the cry of the gulls when I look at this. I like how the thick paint really makes that wave come alive...its swirling around my toes now..aaaahhh.

I am surely happy that you still have clean beaches, Carol. Your waves are lovely and transparent....I can smell the foam!

It scares me that all that beauty might get wiped out. I'm hoping for the best for that area. I can practically hear the waves crashing in your painting!

Love that breaking wave and the transparent green. I'm praying that the mess doesn't make it to your area. Watching the news about N Orleans just breaks my heart.

Carol, I love the roll of your wave and how fluid your water looks. It seems like I could just dip a toe! Lovely.

The way you've captured the colors of the ocean as the waves break on shore is really wonderful -- especially that translucent green of the breaking wave, and the lavenders near shore and in the sky.
