Daily Painting, Figurative, "Hula Mama" 6x8" SOLD

Have you been to the islands?  This post was inspired by my friends,  who just returned from a fabulous trip there.

SOLD

I am always looking for a new subject matter to paint...not an easy thing to do these days.  I am sure there are plenty of other paintings like this around, but I have not seen them.  Sooo, new to me!

I was expecting lots of trouble, as I don't do many figures, and on this one, I had to capture a certain "sway" to her body.  It actually went easier than expected!  Yea!

PS I just googled "hula girl painting" and there are a ton out there :-(
