CHRISTMAS CATCUS, 5X7, OIL

This time of the year, I have great light streaming in through my windows. I love to photograph objects on the window sill because of the great shadows. I loved the abstract shadows on this piece.

I like the abstracted shadows and the way this painting cascades from realism at the top into abstraction at the bottom. Very effective!

Before I even read your blurb, I said to myself...great shadows. I also love the abstract shadows.

I have a christmas cactus. Not in flower yet. But your painting is ace. I like the abstract shadow shapes too.

Another great abstract Carol - and I do so love your teapot!

Your ability to make the paint work for you, color and shape, is tops.

Love this, especially the big buds in the foreground. I think the abstract style is calling to you more often!

I agree...the shadows are gorgeous and a nice contrast to the colorful pink and green.

Oooooh...beautiful! Love those abstract areas and the red outline around the white.
