I had so much fun with my apple collage a few weeks ago, I decided to try another. This one is on a canvas panel and I layered a lot of colored tissue papers to make new colors. It also has a bit of metallic ribbon.
This is a great example of the wonderful and unique art available on Etsy. The creative artist, Danny Phillips from Austin, Texas has a great selection of his clever collage paintings. He has developed a unique technique for his backgrounds, as shown here.

This is beautiful, Carol! Love all the soft color and texture. Collage seems a great way to eliminate any fussiness and get to the heart of a subject. Have you read Ken Kewley on Color or looked at his collages? Hope your foot is healing well!
I love the apple collage. One of my best friends from Hawaii is coming to stay with me for 2 days in a few hours and she does a bit of collage for fun. Our plan today is to stay in my studio. I will paint and she will play around with ?paint, collage - something. I think I will bring my computer in there and get her on your blog - she'll love it!
