WHITE CUP ON PINK, 6X8, OIL, SOLD

It's a rainy and dreary day today, just the kind of day you want to curl up with a soft blanket, a great novel, and a cup of hot chocolate.  I thought it would be the perfect day to post this coffee mug I painted a few weeks ago.

The purpose of the exercise was to paint an object with reflected color.

It was a fun exercise.

Now, time to find my blankey and book.

De la douceur, de l'énergie dans vos nuances de couleurs...
Je vous souhaite un bon moment de sérénité avec un bon livre et pourquoi pas oui une bonne tasse de thé...
Gros bisous.

Perfect success in reflecting the color, I really like the rose tonality.

I love the colours you use in your paintings they make them uniquely yours. A simple cup beautifully painted.

I love the aqua blues and the cream colors in the cup. They really look lovely against the rose tones.

Those colors are luscious! Great job and bouncing the reflections.

I love the way you've been showcasing
the paintings with other objects. It gives a sense of the size and cleverly ties in with the theme of the painting. Very creative!

What a lovely coffee cup Carol. It's so feminine. It would definitely cheer me up on a dreary day.
