ISLAND TIME, 4X12, SOLD

Have you ever been to the islands?  I'm talkin' Bahamas or Abacos.  Both are delightful, and for the most part, unspoiled, pieces of paradise.  Things move slowly, for good reason, and it seems perfectly reasonable to accomplish nothing for long periods of time.

This is an edited view of Hope Town lighthouse in the Abacos.  I say edited, because the real lighthouse has red stripes, which seemed a little jarring for this scene.  To see the reference photo, check out IslandTimeInAbaco where Sam and Meakin were kind enough to allow me to use their image.  Sam also has another fun blog,
MyCarolinaKitchen where she posts the most incredible food.  YUM!

Carol, you did an incredible job. Meakin and I are very honored that you choice one of his photographs to be the subject of one of your gorgeous paintings.

This lighthouse on Elbow Cay happens to be one of the most photographed in the world. You've really captured its beauty in your painting.

Very pretty, I love the long format, gives such a peaceful feeling, was in the Abaco Islands a long time ago, brings back great memories...

Love your clouds - great texture. A beautiful scene!

I have been missing living on the water. (We are now in the middle of the city in Chicago, which I also like.) This picture is beautiful and a wonderful reminder of water living.

Fondly,
Glenda

Sounds like paradise, and it does look like a wonderful place. The painting is sunny and warm.

Thanks, all. I am on the road and find this lap-top a little hard to use, so I won't answer you all individually, but know that I love your comments. Thank you!
