LIFE IS GOOD, 4X12, OIL,SOLD

I wish I were here today, sitting on the beach, soaking up some rays, sea salt in the breeze.  Instead, I am stuck in my house for the fifth straight day.  I cannot walk.  I cannot paint.

I cannot do anything other than prop my foot on a pile of pillows.  I had foot surgery last Thursday and cannot walk until  next Friday  or later.  It depends on how well I follow the doctor's orders.  If my foot stays lower than my heart, I will get doctor demerits.  So, I am trying to do as told...Friday looms far in the future.  Sorry I'm so grouchy.

Dear Carol, It is a sunny day and I am facing a scene like that in your beautiful painting. Thinking of you! What a thing to happen to an active artist! All the best and hoping you get well soon!

You certainly have a right to be grouchy! Hang in there! Hope the healing is fast.
I love this painting! when looking at it, you really have the sense of being there, hearing the sound of the waves as they come in. I like how you did the grass strokes so feely, and then there is that one umbrella. Beautiful.

Oh Carol! So sorry you are healing and chair bound but you are right about following the doctor's recommendations so that you heal correctly and are back on your feet soon! It is never fun not to be able to paint when you want to, but hopefully that won't be too long for you! Take care!

Congratulations on the sale, Carol....I do think this painting is so beautiful. Sorry to hear about your foot. I hope you have help around the house. I guess now is the time for you to do lots of sketching for future paintings. :) I would probably watch all the movies about artists I could find, like "Artemesia", "Georgie O'Keeffe", "Pollock", "Girl with a Pearl Earring" to name a few.

I love this one... I think the size of it is perfect for a beach scape. I can see why it sold. Your sky i s beautiful and the waves perfect ... it really works.

So sorry about not being able to stand and get some painting done. Maybe this will be a good time to do some sketching.

You have every right to be grouchy. Take care of yourself and this recovery time will pass before you know it.
Love the format of this painting. So fun.

Gosh Carol, hope you get back on your feet really soon - obey that darned doctor! I haven't been around and have had an eye feast of your work. Wonderful and especially love 'Message from the Keys'.

Beautiful painting!!! I had thought of you and my thought was "wow! she's already got 5 days under her belt! She'll be up in no time!" I guess it depends on your perspective . . . get well soon. :-)

Carol, I just love, love your beach scenes and this one is no exception!

I am late to post but I hope your foot is making a good recovery! Sometimes when we need a rest, the universe provides that rest in the darndest ways. I like the suggestion of watching "painting movies"!
