TAGGED

No painting on this post. I have just been tagged by Theresa Rankin and also by Art with Liz . These are two wonderful artists and I am humbled that they follow by blog. What, you ask, is being "tagged"? This is a really fun way to get to know your blogger friends in art! The rules of this great game are:-
1. Put a link in your posting to the person who tagged you.
2. List 7 unusual things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 other bloggers at the end of your post and comment on their blogs to let them know.
I think I have lived a pretty uneventful life, but, rules are rules,so here goes:
1. I was an only child until I was a senior in high school.
2. My son was born in Okinawa, my husband was in Germany at the time.
3. One of my favorite meals is beef with home-made noodles over mashed potatoes. (an old Amish meal)
4. I married a man I knew for 10 weeks and we are still together 45 years later.
5. My youngest grandchild was born 10 weeks early!
6. I am addicted to the blogger art world.
7. My daughter and I toured Paris and Rome together last spring.

And here are the seven artists I hope you will check out.
1. Diane Hoeptner
2. Milind Mulick

3.Kathy Weber
4.Susan Greaves
5.Robin Mitchell
6.Carmen Beecher
7. Barbara Newton
Somewhere I messed up. Another artist that I love and want you to check out is Paula Villanova. I guess it is okay for me to list 8 artists as I was tagged twice!

Dear Carol! My this is interesting and you have a very glamorous and exciting life... I will be happy to respond accordingly, but I seem to be coming down with a nasty cold/flu thing at the moment. If I don't do it right away, you'll know why. FUN! (Thanks.)

Paula, no real receipe but here goes. Brown some beefshort ribs or other like inexpensive cut of beef, braise for several hours over low heat. You want enough water in the pot to make a thin sauce. At the same time, stir together 4-6 eggs, add salt and pepper, and enough flour so that you can roll it out on a floured surface, the thinner the better. Cover with a cloth and let set for several hours until it is dry enough to handle easily.
Roll up the long side and cut into 1/4" slices. Unroll the slices and let them dry another 1-2 hours. When the beef is tender, remove it from the water, add more water (not too much, just enough for the noodles to cook without sticking to the pot) and bring to a boil. Add the noodles and cook about 7-9 minutes. You have just made home-made noodles. This is the tricky part. If you have added the right amount of water, you will have a nice sauce and won't have to drain the noodles. Add the beef and start making mashed potatoes. Serve the potatoes with the beef and noodles on top of the potatoes.
It is really easy to do, but does take several hours of slow simmer on the stove. Store bought noodles or potatoes just don't do it. Good luck!
Diane, Hope you are feeling better. I had that 10 days ago and last night I started getting a scratchy throat again!
