I travel to Asheville each spring and fall, trying to record the beautiful scenery of the area.

Farmhouse Wall Decor, Sunflower Oil Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, Palette Knife Art, Textured, SOLD
It is a cold, gray day, here in the mountains, and sunflowers are the perfect way to brighten things up.
Both sunflowers and farmhouses, are not uncommon, here in the mountains. It's hard not to smile when I look at sunflowers.
Have a wonderful day!

Autumn Maple Tree Landscape Painting, Palette Knife Technique, Asheville Fall Foliage Art, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting
It's that time of year and we are soon on our way to Asheville to see the gorgeous fall foliage. So....I got inspired to paint this piece from an image of our own red maple tree.
The trees are beautiful at any time of year, but they really glow in the fall.
I felt it deserved a textured palette knife treatment, which I think really adds to the finished piece.

A Beach Day Palette Knife Oil Painting, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, Textured Landscape Artwork, Beach House Decor
I am back working with my palette knife again. Something about the thick paint and texture is very satisfying to me.
This makes me want to get to the beach..........quickly!
Thanks for checking in today.

It was one of my favorite home made bouquets...here is the picture.
Thanks for reading my blog today.
I couldn't find anything to paint, so, I decided to paint my breakfast. On this day, I was waiting for Hurrican Irma to pass by us. After an extremely stressful week, with reports ranging from landfall on the east coast of Florida to the west coast, and back again, it is headed for Tampa as I paint.
Our house is encased in metal panels and no sunlight or noise is heard outside. It is sunny, or raining.....I have not idea. Later, the wind will howl and the walls may shake, but our primary fear is flooding inside out home.
Thanks for viewing my blog today.
