WINTER LIGHT, 5X7, OIL, SOLD

I love the cool winter light that comes pouring in my home this time of the year, so for this little painting, I simply set an apple on my glass table. If the light is just right, I get a double reflection as depicted here.

Nice work! I like your unusual palette and composition. The angularity you imposed on the apple really works with the rectalinear framework in the background.

This apple looks like a sculpture in a NYC museum!

I also loved your radishes Carol. I blew up the image and had fun studying the brush strokes and color palette.

I have been off struggling with a ginormous picture, and you have created all of these great gems. I love the light you are depicting here. The shadow and the window colors really suggest the cool light. Your radishes are wonderful. In the enlarged version, all the nuances of color are obvious. Of course, I love radishes to look at and eat :)
