My husband and I were walking the beach on afternoon, when suddenly the sky was filled with black clouds.  The beach is not the place to be when a storm comes in so we quickly returned to our car.......but not before I took a quick photo.  There was just a streak of light on the horizon as the black clouds closed in.

 The other day my husband and I went for a walk on the beach.  Although it was sunny when we left home, ten minutes later black clouds were rolling in over the waves.

The clouds had not yet completely obscured the horizon leaving a strip of aqua sunlight on the sea.

When I came home, I went straight to the easel, painting this from memory.

Storms can be very scary...when you are driving, when the sky is full of lightening,when the wind gets crazy, when that loud house-shaking thunder fills the air.

But, I love to paint storm clouds, the bigger and blacker, the better!  It gives me a chance to throw paint around and get wild!
