LOOKING FOR LUNCH, 5X7, OIL SOLD

I met this guy one day at the Cocoa Beach Pier. The pier is filled with fishermen, so of course, it is also filled with sea birds. They love to raid your bait bucket when you are not looking so you must keep an eye on your fishing pole and that other eye, the one in the back of your head, looking out for bait thieves. I do enjoy watching them as they skim over the waves so gracefully and then do a totally awkard dive bomb when they spy lunch.

Really nice loose brushwork on this one. I like how little bits of the blue in the background made it into the bird as well. Ties the piece together.
