PARISIAN SKYLINE,6X8, OIL, SOLD

April is the perfect time to be in Paris.  Don't you wish you were there?  I do!  Everyone has seen the Eiffel Tower a million times, but when I saw it in person I was amazed at the scope of it.  It seems to always be on the horizon and is massive in size.  I was hoping to show that in this painting. I thought it would be fun to show a different view than we normally see of this very impressive structure.

Hi Carol,
You certainly did portray the massiveness of it by not painting all the way to the top. Excellent choice. Never been to Paris myself except for Paris, Maine which is the next town over from where I live in Norway, Maine. We see tourists all the time taking pics in front of the sign that says "Welcome to Paris".
Have a great day.

Good composition and showing a part gives you the whole, Carol! The Eiffel Tower was not popular when it was erected at the end of the nineteenth century to showcase the new use of steel. Now it symbolizes everything to do with romance!

Beautiful! I love how you placed that icon on the side as if it was keeping watching over the City.
