TOUR EIFFEL, 11X14, ORIGINAL COLLAGE

If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.

Ernest Hemingway

If you cannot live in Paris, do the next best thing...pretend!

Hubby has been  minding the home fires while I flit through London and Paris with my friend Donna and my granddaughter, Courtney.  We will return in a few days, full of inspiration!

Bon Jour!

TOUR EIFFEL, 7X5, OIL, SOLD

Is the Eiffel tower "in" these days?  I seem to notice lots of home items in the stores that feature an image of the tower.  I have also noticed several sites on Etsy.com featuring all things French.   Not being one of those individuals that is aware of what is "in" or "out", I have to trust my instincts on such things.  This is an image from my trip to Paris a few years ago. That tower is just so very, very massive!

PARISIAN SKYLINE,6X8, OIL, SOLD

April is the perfect time to be in Paris.  Don't you wish you were there?  I do!  Everyone has seen the Eiffel Tower a million times, but when I saw it in person I was amazed at the scope of it.  It seems to always be on the horizon and is massive in size.  I was hoping to show that in this painting. I thought it would be fun to show a different view than we normally see of this very impressive structure.

TOUR EIFFEL, 6X8, ABSTRACT, OIL,SOLD

Tour Eiffel, did you know it "sparkles" for 10 minutes at the top of the hour every evening?
What an exciting sight to see. Here it is not sparkling, but is decked out in its evening lights and surrounded by the usual admiring crowds.
