FLAPPER II, 8X6, OIL, SOLD

My second attempt at a value study.  I did have fun with the post yesterday, so I tried it all over again today.   This technique is begining to grow on me!

I really like the composition in this piece. The side profile is very appealing! I like the high contrast in this value study!

These are fun pieces as well as great value studies. But, what I wan to know is why you labeled this a dog portrait?! i think she's kind of interesting looking!

One thing I have learned as a portrait painter and teacher is that the composition and "oomph" factor has to be there to be interesting around the human face.

This has the IT factor. BRAVO.
