JUPITER LIGHTHOUSE, 12X16, OIL, SOLD

My daughter and her family live in Jupiter, Florida, so we pass this scene often.  The lighthouse is not the only spectacular sight.  The whole area, with  great views of the inter-coastal waterway, always take my breath away.

For those of you who are art collectors, I am having a special give-away on my Etsy sites from January 1 to March 31st.  When you purchase a painting from either Carol Schiff Studio  or Carol On Edge you will be entered in a drawing for a free 6x8 painting.  You will receive an entry for each item you purchase.  You will have a good chance to win because, trust me, I don't sell hundreds of paintings each month.  No need to refer to this post, you will automatically be added to the drawing with each and every item you purchase.  This is just a little way for me to thank those of you who help to support my sites and original art.

Very beautiful, Carol. I love lighthouses (don't collect them though). Hubby took me to stay overnight in the Rose Island Light in Rhode Island one summer. It was beautiful and a wonderful surprise.

Lovely, Carol!! I love the depth you created with the trees. I also love the palm trees in the previous post.

A red lighthouse must be a joy to paint. Yours contrasts so perfectly against the sky. It definitely looks like a place worth visiting.

Carol,
I really like the red color of this lighthouse. Great job on the composition. What a great area to get lots of inspiration from. My younger daughter is in Palm Beach, close to Jupiter.

Je suis en train de dessiner un phare breton, très différent du vôtre.
J'aime celui-ci de par sa couleur et son élégance à se hisser haut dans le ciel.

Like an obelisk, this 'Jupiter red' lighthouse looks strong and majestic...
Lovely painting using the complements from both munsell and 'regular' color wheels.
