The good life! Don't ask me why, but living on the water seems like an extended vacation. Not that I have ever lived on the water...close...once.....just across the street from the beach. But, what did I know. I was only 18 years old and assumed that I would always be on the beach. Ha! Thats when I didn't own a home, or pay insurance, or have kids.
So here I am, 10 miles from the ocean, not a sea gull in sight, and perfectly content. But, I can still close my eyes and dream now and then.

Nice, bright and relaxing. Very nice.
I have lived on the water. About 10 years and like you say its like a vacation. We my husband and I would come home at the end of the day we both felt like we could really relax just like on vacation. It was a great like.
These painting really reflect the calm peacefulness of being on the water ... you really have a good eye and feel of capturing the wonderful water scene. Another great one!
Lovely!
This is such a beautiful piece, Carol. My husband and I lived on Lake Washington in Seattle for 2 1/2 years . . . and now we are in the middle of Chicago. Miss that water . . . it did always, every day feel vacation-like.
Fondly,
Glenda
Nice one, Carol. I grew up just a stone's throw from the ocean until I moved here to Maine. It still feels like I am on vacation after 7 years here.
Lovely. Nice colors.
This is beautiful, Carol! So serene...
Your whites are luminous and it does feel so Southern!!
I HEART Cranes!
Somebody said "luminous"... that's what this painting is. And beautiful. 10 miles is not far, but yes, it is different than being right there where you can see and smell the sea every minute of the day. Of course, it's also safer and less salty to be a few miles inland!
Carol, you are seriously making me miss Florida. Great light.
Another delicious scene. You are a woman after my heart.
