Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, Marsh Landscape Painting, Georgia Wetlands by Carol Schiff, 6x12x.5" Original

I have been trying to understand why I am so drawn to the marsh landscape, I finally realized, it is the way the water seems to drift lazily around the mounds of earth and plant life, the way it changes color from  season to season.  It is all just too soothing.

The vegetation is so lush.  As you can see, this part was painted with a knife.
